“Making something local” is crucial especially when your main goal is to reach the end user in the related industry.

Translation requires accuracy while Localization requires flexibility and creativity.

It is mostly used for marketing texts, websites, softwares, e-commerce texts and games. The linguist should have knowledge (cultural background, specific terms used in the industry) about the target audience in detail in order to be able to make the text local to them. In that way the target audience comprehends the target text better.
